A poetic expression of English Rosé.
Elegant, vibrant, and intriguing — Hidden Verse is our premium still rosé, grown on south-facing Tumbledown Hill. Copper-pink in hue, it opens with aromas of wild strawberry and redcurrant, underpinned by a bright creamy texture, and a subtle savoury note.
Inspired by the fable The Ant and the Grasshopper, the name celebrates creativity, joy, and the simple pleasures of living in the moment. The grasshopper — heard throughout the growing season — also nods to the rich musical heritage and natural rhythms of West Sussex. The violin-playing grasshopper on the label captures this spirit of artistry and place.
Crafted with care and minimal intervention, this is a wine designed to sit confidently among the finest English rosés; at home, during long lunches or as a thoughtful gift.

Sweetness: Dry, Acidity: High, Alcohol: Medium, Body: Light, Tannins: Subtle
Delicate and dry, this rosé offers aromas of wild strawberry, redcurrant and cranberry, with a hint of red apple. A creamy texture and soft minerality carry a lingering summer fruit finish.
A Pinot Noir dominant blend
Our Rosé is crafted from fruit grown across two distinctive vineyard sites, bringing freshness, balance and elegance to the blend. Tumbledown Hill, a south-facing Pinot Noir slope with sandy soils and excellent drainage, produces fruit with purity and finesse. The Chardonnay comes from Greenhurst, an elevated south-facing site where sandy loam soils and generous sun exposure create bright acidity and layered complexity. Together, the two sites produce a refined, beautifully balanced rosé.

The grapes were hand-picked and carefully handled to preserve freshness and purity. Pinot Noir was destemmed and given a short cold soak for gentle colour and aroma extraction, while the Chardonnay was whole bunch pressed to retain delicacy and precision. Fermentation took place mainly in stainless steel, with a small portion in concrete to add subtle texture and complexity. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged in tank over winter before being bottled in early spring 2026.
The 2025 season was warm, dry and remarkably consistent, creating ideal conditions throughout the growing cycle. Long, sunny days and minimal disease pressure allowed for steady ripening and precise picking decisions, achieving an excellent balance of ripeness, acidity and freshness. The result is a vintage with generosity, clarity and poise, combining bright fruit with structure and elegance.
Grilled seafood, fresh salads and soft cheeses. A natural match for smoked salmon, goat’s cheese and beetroot salad, or a simple charcuterie board. Serve chilled on a summer’s day, or enjoy with strawberries or a berry tart.
